Have you heard anything about this voting for the earth movement? I read in Wikipedia, Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.
Based on an idea successfully executed in Thailand in 2005, it was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007,[1] and achieved worldwide participation in 2008. (Wow! I really copied the text, haha.. know no other way to explain it, so I just plainly copied the text there).
So, do you care? The earth is really changing, the weather getting hotter and colder in some ways, lots of natural disasters happened lately, and yet people just keep being ignorant. You see garbage everywhere still, glass houses and buildings, trees cut, etc..
Come on everybody, let's take action!!
And this, I think it's the easiest way we can do, simply by switching your lights off..
Honestly, I just found out about it few days ago, when I see the commercial on TV.
Searched about it, and now.. asking my friends to let's save the earth (^^,)*
Vote for the earth!! and I think, I prefer this than April 9,2009.
