Royal Pains.. first season

Just finished watching Royal Pains yesterday.. it was fun..
Been curious about it since I saw the commercial and it says that "it's a combination of Macdreamy & Macgyver" hahahaha.. Macdreamy came from Grey's Anatomy.. one of my favorites (^^,)* especially with Patrick Dempsey in it, hahaha.. love the main character Meredith too.. hmm..

By the way, this Royal Pains is a worth watching.. I like some statements the characters said and it's just different from other doctor serial I've ever watched. He, the main character, Dr. Hank Lawson, is a real Macgyver, he uses things surround him to save his patients, from sport bags to fishing hook and even drill!! Can you imagine that?

He's an E.R. doctor whose blamed for the death of a patient, who was (which making it worse) a billionaire trustee of the hospital where he works, a real bad luck.. He got dumped by his fiancee whose dreaming of marrying a doctor instead of an unemployment which is he is now. Then, his accountant brother came offering him a "vacation" which turned out to be a job opportunity.. he saved a model in a rich Hampton's billionaire party and become a concierge doctor there.. hah?! Well, it's something like the kind of doctor you can call to your house 24 hours or anytime you have an emergencies, wow.. nice eh?! Having one cute doctor you can all anytime.. hmm..

Telling you the truth, he (Dr. Hank) has a cute smile.. and no wonder some of the patients were in to him and willing to "pay" more, haha.. but yea.. I agree with the other viewer, the character is too soft, and I believe there's no guy in this world like him, except if he's a gay maybe.. (no offense to the statement, I have a gay friend and he somehow has the characteristic)
How? Well, he's too patient, really understanding, not pushy, smart, charming, bla bla bla and other things.. I'm not saying that guys are not understanding, patient or not having any of those.. it's just that most guys have maybe 7 from 10 of the good qualities or characteristics, the other 3 are the opposite characters (the negative one). I mean, have you seen (in American movies mostly) a guy who don't take the "bate" (a.k.a. a girl whose obviously into him & sooo ready to anything with him, even flirt to him) when he just somehow got dumped (for the second time)?
Well, a few did refuse, but most of them will just have a one-night-stand maybe or try to have a new relatonship with the new girl.. and this one just didn't.
And have you met a guy who'll wait patiently for his girl to decide (in this case, includes another guy) and when she's ready, she'll know where to find him.. most guys will make the girl choose, "him or me?", right?
WOW eh?!
He's somehow only a guy in a dream, or in this case, in a serial movie, haha..

And the girl cast, Divya Katdare, I LOVE her, especially when she's talking to Evan, haha..
Another guy I like is Tucker Bryant.. really nice to look.. buat cuci mata.. haha.. *sipp..

Well, just watch it and you'll know what I mean.. hehe..
Hmm.. waiting for the 2nd season (^^,)*

What's in it, I definitely couldn't believe it.. Hank is 180 degrees different from the movie, like some other comments about the video said, it should be Evan (Hank's little brother), molesting Zoey.. but yea, who's the doctor anyway.. can't believe it!! LOL (still)..

That ugly duckling is actually a swan..

I read the news about Susan Boyle sometime ago in Jawa Pos.. well, it's quite a long time actually.
She's a 47 year old woman from Scotland, who grabbed an international attention when she first appeared as a contestant in Britain's Got Talent.
Well, when you imagine a a 47 year old woman, you probably will picture someone who's fat, unattractive, and when she appears in front of you, you must have thinking "Is this a joke? Oh alright, let's just hear it, we can use a laugh."
And yep, I think that's what most people thought when they saw Susan first came on the stage. She's not attractive and she has a funny sense of humor.. and you might expect the ugly duckling to squawk there.. but she didn't. She amazed all the audiences in that room and probably everybody whose watching the show live.. the judges, Piers who gave her a (disgust-kind-of) look when she said she was 47 and "that's just the other side of me" while spinning her hips, was awed by the performance and Amanda admit that her performance is a big "wake up call" for everybody there who have given her a cynical attitude when she came. And Simon's expression is my most favorite.. he's stunned, like speechless that kind of thing.. She ended up as the second winner in the show.

Another amazing performance also came from Paul Potts, the winner of BGT's first edition. He worked as a manager at a mobile phone before he entered BGT, and when he was a child, he often got bullied (Susan did too). His appearance couldn't be said as an attractive one, not that handsome and has bad teeth.. he also admit that he has difficulties in being confidence about himself, but when he sang the opera song, Nessun Dorma.. WOW! and he did win the BGT and performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II.

There are also some other contestant that have the same background with these two, bullied at school, not so much confidence, not that good looking, etc, but they are really talented, amazingly gifted.
This give us a lesson.. we cannot judge people by the way they look, their appearances..
As I quote Susan's words in the Washington Post, "Modern society is too quick to judge people on their appearances. [...[ There is not much you can do about it; it is the way they think; it is the way they are. But maybe this could teach them a lesson, or set an example."

We must admit.. we like seeing gorgeous, beautiful and handsome figures, don't we? You don't keep a picture of Quasimodo in your purse, right? And yep, people with good looks sometime get easier life than those without.
But everybody, regardless their appearance, age, race, beliefs.. we all have the same opportunity.. we should not look down on them who has no beauty.. who knows that the ugly duckling will turn in to a swan? or if you just give it a time and polish it a bit, the dirty black coal will become a diamond..

All I'm saying is yea.. don't mock people, don't bully those you think is different from you.
Be friends with everybody. I'm not being all so wise.. I admit, sometime I judge people by appearance too.. and I'm ashamed of it, especially if my first judgment is not true.
Like the case with Susan, you first saw her, you can't help to underestimate her and not expecting much.. but after she sings, you gave her a standing ovation. I'll be embarrassed with my attitude, my first judgment.. is bad, right?
We have to get to know them first, give them a chance like we all want to be given a chance too.
How you want people to treat you, treat them the same way..

Hmm.. actually, I wanted to post how I like Simon Cowell when he's judging.
People said he's a mean judge, rude, but more people love him, like ME (^^,)*
He's an honest person, right? When you don't have it (talent), he said it.. when you do have it, he appraise you for it. Oh yea.. his expression while seeing Susan and Paul perform.. shows that he's really enjoying it and admit that they really got it! Go Simon!! haha..

Kemarin malem kaget aku pas nyetel TV.. emang biasa ne Astro kan suka hilang2 signal.. ehhh.. kemarin g tau nya, ilang beneran.. tiba2 muncul pengumuman "siaran terhenti sampai pemberitahuan lebih lanjut.." piye to? Kok aku sebagai pelanggan ga pernah dikabarin ada begini2?
Sampe sekarang baru nyari2 d website nya..

Dan ini lah kira2 beberapa pertanyaan yg banyak ditanyakan oleh pelanggan2 Astro, termasuk saya sendiri..


Kenapa siaran Astro berhenti?

PT Direct Vision selaku operator Astro di Indonesia tidak dapat melanjutkan siaran karena perjanjian penggunaan merk dagang Astro telah berakhir dan berbagai layanan yang diberikan oleh Astro tidak diperpanjang lagi terhitung tanggal 19 Oktober 2008 pukul 24:00

Kapan saya bisa menonton siaran Astro lagi?

PT Direct Vision tidak bisa memastikan hingga kapan Astro tidak bersiaran karena PT Direct Vison hanya sebagai operator Astro, selebihnya merupakan wewenang pemegang saham.

Dimana informasi tentang berhentinya siaran Astro kepada para pelanggan sebelumnya?

Kami menginformasikan mengenai hal ini di beberapa media lokal dan nasional, yaitu :
*) Print ad : KOMPAS, JAWA POS, ANALISA (di Jawa Pos kok g keliatan ya?)
*) Radio : Elshinta
*) SMS Blast untuk pelanggan yang memiliki HP (SMS nya baru dikasih pas hari H, bukan sebelum nya.. piye to?)
*) Screen Channel Astro

Apakah uang berlanggganan yang sudah dibayar dimuka bisa dikembalikan? Bagaimana cara memperoleh kompensasinya?

It's COMING!!!

The Amazing Race Asia 3 is coming!!! This one is said to be the toughest ever. Just can't wait to see. When?
Starts September 11th, every Thursday @ 8 pm (ID)
The racers will be revealed on September 4th, Thursday @ 8 pm (ID), but you can see them in the website already.

I really like this program. The race, the racers (the last one was the coolest, they are from Singapore. One of them has a hearing difficulties, yet it does not make him weak and in fact, they win the Amazing Race Asia 2!), the places they visits, the spirits, the prize (obvious! who will say no for US $ 100,000?), and most of all, all the experiences you can get from that. You also get new friends, say, won't you be friends after 24 days being together, struggling, competing, having fun (racing) with 20 people?

They named it really right for this. Amazing Race! You ROCK!!

Ugh! Just can't wait!
