I'm going to the airport after this. We're going to Jakarta first, meet my mum & dad, and tomorrow we'll be leaving to Shanghai. Yay! We're going to visit some cities in China.
I'll be off the internet for +/-12 days..

Well, my things are not so much. But the things my relatives asked me to bring, just too much..hmm.. It's not that I don't like it, but they just have a lot of things.

Sparring partner

Got this sent to my email the other day..
I think it's a good story.. I had this kind of experiences too, I just hope my sparring partner is not only on speeding tho. But I did find my sparring partners in my flanneling, Indra's mum & Md, haha.. two at a time. Well, they make me want to make and create more.. It's a positive thing right?


Beberapa hari yang lalu saya berkesempatan memberikan training di Bandung. Karena acara dimulai jam 13.00 wib maka saya berangkat dari Jakarta pukul 9.30 wib. Ketika mulai memasuki tol ke arah Sadang, di belakang saya ada sebuah mobil Lexus berwarna hitam yang melaju dengan kecepatan tinggi. Tetapi yang saya suka walaupun ia melaju dengan kecepatan tinggi, ia tidak memaksakan kehendak. Jika mobil di depannya tidak mau memberi jalan, maka ia yang mengalah dengan mengambil jalan ke kiri dahulu baru kemudian balik lagi ke jalur kanan.

Supaya tidak ngantuk karena saya menyetir sendirian dan tertarik dengan cara menyetir si mobil hitam ini, iseng-iseng saya membuntuti mobil tersebut dari belakang. Saya ikuti cara ia menyetir, termasuk kecepatannya. Ketika tidak ada mobil lain di tol, kecuali mobil tersebut dan mobil saya, mobil hitam tersebut menambah kecepatannya. Karena sedang membututi, tanpa sadar saya ikut menambah kecepatan mobil saya.

Ketika saya melihat panel kecepatan, menunjukkan angka 160 km/jam. Padahal selama ini, kecepatan tercepat yang pernah saya tempuh adalah 140 km/jam, saya tidak berani melaju diatas itu. Tapi dengan adanya mobil yang saya ikuti, saya bisa tembus rekor kecepatan mobil saya. Sesuatu yang sulit saya lakukan jika tidak ada sparringnya.

Karena saya berhenti di suatu tempat, saya kehilangan mobil hitam tersebut. Ketika saya mulai memacu kendaraan lagi, saya coba untuk berlari 160 km/jam lagi. Saya berhasil mencapai kecepatan tersebut tetapi tidak berani terlalu lama karena belum terbiasa. Ketika kemudian ada mobil lain lagi yang melaju dengan kecepatan tinggi dan saya buntuti, saya bisa masuk lagi ke 160 km/jam dengan durasi yang cukup lama.

Sama seperti kehidupan ini, seringkali kita merasa sudah maksimal melakukan sesuatu. Kita merasa tidak mungkin lagi melakukan sesuatu yang lebih baik lagi. Namun kalau kita mempunyai sparring partner yang lebih hebat dari kita, entah itu seorang atasan, seorang coach, seorang mentor, role model atau apapun, maka kita bisa terpacu untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik lagi.

Namun jika kita belum matang belajar dari sparring partner kita dan mencoba untuk mandiri, mungkin agak sulit bagi kita untuk terus berada di kondisi sama seperti ketika ada sparring partner. Nantinya jika kita sudah mempunyai pola dan terbiasa, barulah kita mulai bisa mandiri.

Robert Kiyosaki mengatakan bahwa penghasilan seseorang ditentukan 5 orang terdekatnya . Ilustrasi saya mengenai kecepatan mobil bisa menjelaskan pernyataan dari Robert Kiyosaki tersebut. Jika orang-orang di dekat kita hanya biasa-biasa saja, maka sulit bagi kita untuk melakukan sesuatu yang luar biasa. Namun kalau kita biasa tetapi di sekelilingnya luar biasa, maka kita akan terpacu untuk juga menjadi luar biasa.

Apakah ada penjelasannya secara science? ternyata ada. Di dalam otak manusia ada sekumpulan sel syaraf yang disebut Mirror Neuron, yang bertugas meniru apa yang dilakukan oleh orang lain . Jika di sekelilingnya orang hebat atau luar biasa, maka Mirror Neuron kita akan meniru mereka sehingga menjadikan kita juga hebat dan luar biasa. Kalau sebaliknya, maka Mirror Neuron-pun juga akan meniru yang sebaliknya.

YAY!! 4 more days to holiday..
My office will have holiday from 10 to 22 October. What a long one eh? And my family and I are going to China!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited. I miss Beijing, although I only lived there for eight months.
Why am I so excited? well, it's because..
First, it is the first time I get to go outside of the country with the complete member of my family. Yay!!
The second is, finally get to visit one place.. haha.. there's a place I really want to visit. My school? Nah.. most of my friends are not there anymore, so yeah.. school is not one of the place I want to see. Well, I want to go to the bookstore, perhaps Wang Fu Jing bookstore, one of the biggest. hehe.. weird eh? Well, I just want to buy some Ji Mi books, I've been collecting them. I feel like this is the chance to buy his latest books. Buying it online is possible, but it's just too expensive.. haha..
Third, there will be a lot of photos to be put here or on my friendster account ^^,
Oh, and yeah..finally get to eat the real Beijing gao ya.. the one's I ate here are so weird. There, we used to eat the white bread (round and thin one, looks like tortilla but smaller diameter, I don't know how to call them) with the ducks' meat right? while here in Indo, we ate it with the skin and they serve the meat in different dishes. And, I don't really like it that way..

I'm sure going to miss Indra.. using XL for short messaging is really expensive, 4000 Rupiahs for one message. I'm going to buy a local number, so I still can communicate with him.. anytime ('',)*

Three

So.. I didn't get to visit my uncle at the hospital and see his newly born daughter. Well, it's all because we can't get any parking space there, so many visitors yet not so many parking space. And yeah..can't put any picture here..
The name of the baby girl is Ivory Ameris Halim, born on 1st October 2007, 7.17 A.M, 51 cm long, and weight 3.08 kgs.

By the way, I went to Pasar Atum for lunch with my brothers. Aaand.. we took pictures on the photo box. This time is three of us, Didiet, Ayin & Me. Next time I would love to have Sean with us too.. miss him ('',)* And you, Indra, you should take some with me too, k?
Oh yeah.. if you guys wondering, why there's only 11 pictures here, so odd, they usually have 12 or 9. Well, we did took 12 pictures, but we didn't put that one picture due to an extreme ugliness, haha.. really, I mean it. So, we just don't want to embarrassed ourselves and make you all throw up.. this is for our good, haha..

Birthdays & newly born..

Today is my Dad's birthday.. Happy Birthday Dad! love ya! *mwah..

Happy Birthday to Efata too.. my "mum" (she's my friend, but I used to call her mum), and she's going to be a real mum next year. Wish her good health and healthy baby too..

Oh yeah..another good news.. My Aunt just gave birth to a baby girl today...YAY!!!
I'm going to visit them tomorrow afternoon. I'll try to take some photos and put them here.. hehe.. so many babies born this year. My friends, my cousins, and now my aunt. I still my other aunt going to give birth too at the end of this year.. WOW! WOW! akeh yooo..
